Meet the Strategist Behind Jaliyah Graphics
Hey, my name is Aaliyah,
and my journey into branding started back in 2022.
At the time, I was living with my grandmother while she was battling colon cancer. It was one of the hardest seasons of my life, but it also became the season that changed things for me.
My grandmother had always seen something in me. Ever since I was little, she encouraged my creativity and believed I was capable of more than I believed about myself. Although I had built a profitable e-commerce business, she knew something wasn't quite right.
Deep down, I knew it too. I wasn't fulfilled.
I missed creating, solving problems & building meaningful relationships with people through my work. Even though my business looked successful on paper, it didn't feel like the path I was meant to be on.
For a long time, I convinced myself that I just needed to wait. I thought I needed more confidence, more experience and more certainty before making such a big change. I kept telling myself that once I felt ready, everything else would fall into place.
Eventually, I realised I wasn't waiting for the right opportunity. I was waiting for a feeling that was never going to come.
God had already placed the vision on my heart. The only thing left was for me to trust him enough to take the first step.
That decision changed everything. As I stepped into branding, I quickly realised it was about much more than creating something that looked beautiful. I became fascinated by storytelling and the way businesses communicate who they are before they've spoken a single word.
The more I learned, the more I realised that the brands people remember aren't always the ones with the fanciest logo or the most expensive website.
